A:  It probably would, but it would be pretty ugly. That's really not the right tool to cut a hole in a door.

A:  This tool is great for drywall. I wouldn’t use it on a hollow core door. You’re better off scoring multiple times with a utility knife.

        Answer This Question

A:  The teeth on this saw are fairly rough. I believe it is designed more for drywall then wood or plastic. I'd pick a saw with more teeth per inch. I actually use mine for digging out weeds in my flower beds.

        by|Dec 3, 2019

A:  I wouldn't recommend it for that use. The blade tends to wander while cutting and even using a t-square the line was not cut precisely

A:  No. I haven't tried it, but the teeth are too big and probably not hard enough. Unlike a hack saw where the teeth a lot finer and harder. A hacksaw is meant for cutting metal.

A:  I would not recommend this for your questioned use. It is designed to work best on drywall

A:  I would say no it could not cut metal. The teeth are quite aggressive. You need a hack saw to cut metal.

A:  We did not try it on anything that was metal. We did try it on particle board, and it did the trick rather easily!!

A:  I would not try cutting steel with this saw. It is intended for dry wall, plaster, and wood.
