The reddish appearance in the Auburn finish will depend on when the unit was manufactured and the lighting and wall color of your bathroom; overall, the Auburn finish is more brown than red. Our best recommendation would be for you to consider the 31 in. Regency wall mirror in Auburn as a suitable alternative, you may find the mirror by visiting the Home Depot website and running a search for Model # REWM26COM-AU, Internet #204207030, or Store SKU #1000005897 and you will be taken directly to the product page. A:  Check out the mirror by Foremost in Mahoany finish also available at Home Depot. It looks to be a close match colorwise and has the crown molding like the wall cabinet that matches this summit vanity. It's out of stock right now but when they get more in they will end you an email.

We can confirm that the Summit vanity is manufactured with wood frame fronts and a laminated engineered wood box, therefore, we would not recommend you paint the unit as modification voids your Limited Lifetime Warranty and we cannot be certain how paint would adhere to the laminated areas of the unit.
