Q:Your ad says "secondary surge arrestor" sold separately. Why can't I find it on your website? The SKU number for the arrestor should have been listed on this QO 70 web page.

Q:Can this be used as service equipment? AKA, a main breaker installed?

A: Home Depot asked if I would look at your question because I bought one of these same panels. It was just used as a branch panel on a small home addition with the cut off breaker being back in the service entry panel..
I am not qualified to answer your question and would suggest you have your electrician call Square D (a/ka Schneider) customer service. Their on line technical specs Q & A may possibly be saying yes to your question and also that they have a model PK2MB back feed retainer kit for this box. Even if this is all correct there still appeared to be exceptions, such as the allowed use of the panel's circuits. Your electrician should also know if there are NEC issues or may just think that the box is kind of small inside..

Q:Does this box accept tandem breakers? (Is that why it is 6 spaces, 12 circuits)?

Answer This Question
A: Yes
by|May 5, 2023
A: Yes it will accept tandem breakers. All boxes will, as long as there is enough room for the extra wires and the ground bar
has enough spaces.
by|May 5, 2023
A: This is a 6 space/12 circuit panel that will accept a maximum of 6 QOT (QOT prefix) tandem circuit breakers. QO tandem (QO prefix) are for use only in old-style (pre 1965) non-Class CTL panels. The QO tandem breaker should not be used in the subject load center.

Answer This Question
A: Hello JC,
Refer to the Wiring Diagram of each load center, located on the interior sidewall of the enclosure. The Wiring Diagram will state "Box bonding when required" and indicate the location on the neutral assembly to install the green bonding screw. The green bonding screw, which is a self-tapping screw, will be supplied with load centers that are marked as suitable for use as service equipment.
