Q:how do I separate ground and neutral terminations in a subpanel in a boathouse? A square D GFCI breaker in Main Panel immediately defaults to ground with both N and G on same subpal bar, How additional PK3GTA bar need to be insulated from the subpanel?

Answer This Question
A: The neutral in a subpanel should be isolated from ground. If you install a PK3GTA on the backplane of the panel and land your conductor grounds there, this should solve your problem. Remove any neutral bonding jumper to ground.

Q:Will two of the 23 position ground bars fit end to end on one side of a Homeline 200 amp panel?

Answer This Question
A: If this is a main panel, there is a bonding screw that connects neutral to ground near the main breaker. If your neutral and ground are bonded, there is not a need for a ground bar. all grounds and neutrals can land on the neutral bars.

Answer This Question
A: Hi,
The use of an antioxidant on the load centers main lugs is not required. The lugs are UL listed for use with copper or aluminum conductors without the use of any antioxidation supplement. The use of an antioxidant is not prohibited, but assure that the brand used is a NON-PETROLEUM based product. If a petroleum based product is used, and comes in contact with the insulating base, it can degrade the insulating base material.

Answer This Question
A: I'm not sure what the manufacturer suggest, but I would say 2 #12 wires per terminal slot seems ideal. If this is a 15 terminal bar, then 30 #12 wires total.
