Questions and Answers for Spectrum Via 36 in. x 80 in. Oak Vinyl Accordion Door with Hardware

A:  The door can be a little stiff at first but will relax in time and remain stacked when in the open position.

A:  We would recommend a minimum of 2ft of distance from the water heater.

A:  The size of the package will be 96" long x 5" wide x 3" high.

A:  The package for the Via 48x96 is approximately 96"x5"x2". Hope that helps!

A:  Accordion doors can help with energy efficiency by helping keep heat or cool air in a room.

A:  The Via door is not available for an opening of 104 inches wide. The maximum opening for the 48x80 doors would be 96 inches wide using two doors for a double door application. We do have our Express One line of custom folding doors that are available for a width of 104 inches. Max height for the Express One doors is 96 inches high. Please reach out to your local store for more information on getting a quote and ordering Express One folding doors.

A:  You can use two 36x80 doors as double doors that meet in the center when closed for a 79" opening. The two magnets will close together but for this door, there will be approximately a 1/4" gap where the doors meet in the middle.

A:  Your FINISHED OPENING needs to be 36" wide X 80" high. In manufacture, the doors are automatically downsized to accommodate the top track and clearance at the floor level. Hope this helps!

A:  Yes ... you are able to trim the bottom of the door. Here are the specific instructions on how to do this: 1. Collapse the door together the way it is in the packaging 2. Secure the door with masking tape to hold it steady 3. Cut the door using a sharpened fine tooth hack saw (like you are cutting a block of wood). If you prefer to use a power saw, be sure to use a masonry blade at the highest rmps. 4. Be care to cut the bottom of the door as there are pre-punctured holes at the top of the door for the top glides to clip into. Hope this helps!

A:  Thank you for your inquiry! Because of the design of the VIA model, you cannot add or remove panels. You can do that with the Encore or Oakmont models. Hope this helps!

A:  32 x 80 is wider than your width, however, keep in mind the Via is an accordion style door and is NOT supposed to lay flat in your doorway ... it is supposed to have the accordion zig-zag look. In our opinion, it would not be inappropriate for the 30" wide opening. You will need to cut the 96" height to fit appropriately. Unfortunately, due to the design of the particular model, you CANNOT alter the width. Hope this helps!
