Q:The product description says, "Southwire 2000 ft. 19 Green Stranded CU CoilPAK SIMpull THHN-THWN-2 Wire". However, the photo of the item indicates 12-gage wire, so I'm not sure what the significance of "19" is in the description. Also, the photo of the packaging and the details for the item indicate THHN wire, not "THHN-THWN-2" wire, so it's unclear whether this product meets code for wet locations. Please clarify what this product is.

The coil pack of 12 stranded thhn 1000 ft is roughly 24 lbs.
The above advice is based upon the current edition of the National Electric Code (NEC). Free access to the latest version of the NEC is available online at www.nfpa.org/freeaccess. The NEC and local building codes regulate the types of wire and cable that can be used in specific electrical applications, as well as the manner of installation. Check your local building codes before you start any wiring and cable electrical project and be sure to obtain required permits. When your work is complete, always have it inspected for compliance with local codes to ensure that it has been safely installed.

A: Yes it does. All Southwire THHN conductors are also rated either THWN or THWN-2 which means that all Southwire THHN conductors can be used in wet locations. An underground conduit is counted as a wet location. You can obtain spec sheets at Southwire.com under the product catalog page.
