A:  It would not be suggested drilling into the front, the front edge is laminated and it could pull away from the wood.

A:  I wouldn't. The shelf seems to be a hollow shell that wouldn't support weight hanging from the front.

A:  Although Home Depot may sell a type of this product in stores, our product is only sold online.

A:  The kit includes -shelf, mounting back plate, screws, plastic anchors and counter head screws. Tools suggested for installation power drill, drill bit and Phillips Screwdriver. Place mounting bracket against the wall at the desired location with the arrow pointing up on the back plate. Use a level on top of the bracket to insure bracket is level. Mark each hole to be used to install bracket.

A:  the mounting mechanism is a flat metal bar that is attached to the studs of the wall or the drywall with anchors. This bar has two metal bars that come out of it perpendicular to the wall and these two bars slide into the back of the shelf.
