Q:Will these tiles work to use as a bath tub/shower surround? Can they get that wet?

Answer This Question
A: Hello, our peel and stick tiles are resistant to moisture and humidity however they were not designed to be used on shower walls. Direct contact with water over a prolonged period of time may affect the adherence of the product.
For the shower area, you may place them at a height were they will not be in contact with the shower flow.
Just make sure that the area has been properly cleaned with a degreaser, thoroughly dried and wait at least 48 hours before using the shower to ensure the tile has a chance to properly adhere to the surface.

A: Hello, thank you for your question. You may use you peel and stick tiles in your cabin. Just make sure that the surface is properly cleaned with a degreaser and thoroughly dry before installing the tile.
The room temperature should be between 18C (65F) and 35C (95F) during installation to ensure proper adhesion to the surface.
Please wait 48 hours after installing before exposing the tiles to moisture.
When properly prepared and installed, The Smart Tiles withstand temperature variations in a cabin, including cold winters and hot summers.

A: Hello, Thank you for your interest in Smart Tiles. The tiles can be installed behind a stove, however we do suggest there be a distance of at lease 8in between the tiles and an open flame or direct heat source if the stove has no control panel or is a gas stove. Be sure the surface is smooth and cleaned well with a degreaser product before installation.

A: Yes, definitely, provided there is no direct contact with hot pans or flame. I prepared my minimally textured wall by gently sanding the sheen off the paint, then doing a skim coat of Ready Patch, allowing it to thoroughly dry before sticking the tile pieces on. They are fairly easy to work with and look great on my backsplash.

A: Yes, I installed mine over my stove about a year and a half ago. It still looks good, and I've had no problems with
it. It wipes off very easily, too. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine...

A: Hello, Thank you for your question.
The surface must be smooth, sleek and without texture for Smart Tiles to adhere properly.
If there is a slight texture the tile will not adhere properly.

A: I had no problem with the tiles adhering to my kitchen wall which was behind my stove.
I had washed the walls with ammonia prior to affixing the tile to it. There was only one small are of about 1 1/2" x 3"
where it peeled, I used spray glue to affix the tile in that one area. I have had no problems since then. The tiles
have been on my wall a little over one year. I hope that answers your question.
