A:  Easy yes. However, most shop vacs like mine are larger than the sander. You can get a step-down reducer at Home Depot. A PCV reducer works great be sure of the size you need.

A:  The 7492 sander is equipped with a dust port for dust extraction. To use this feature, insert a standard 1-1/4" vacuum hose into the dust port, and connect the opposite end of the hose to a shop vacuum cleaner. When using vacuum dust extraction with this tool, use an anti-static vacuum hose to reduce the likelihood of a static discharge if the vacuum hose contacts your body while sanding.

A:  Thank you for your question. The 7492 sander does not have variable speed control so there is no way to slow down the sander for polishing applications. You can use a polishing pad however it is not recommended due to the fast speed.

A:  No, you can not put a polishing pad on this sander.

A:  Hard to get and more than half the price of a complete new sander. I threw my sander in the trash and bought a Dewalt with a bag
