A: Hi JaredYurgadeVries, you drill a hole, put the lag shield in the hole, place the starting block with hole over the top of lag shield, then screw in lag bolt through block into lag shield and tighten. I would recommend using wedge anchors instead of lag shields. They hold better and longer, and are stronger.
