Q:Will this meter socket hook up to 3" Schedule 80 PVC conduit?

            Answer This Question

A:  CORRECTION: The "Power Company" refused this box stating it was the wrong box for their underground service. (Their drawing did not state required depth of box) They require a 3" Schedule 80 PVC. I had to modify the knockout to fit and it did meet the requirement drawing. The problem with this box is the depth. Not enough room for the power company to manage their wires to the top of lugs. Interior depth 3-3/4" inches. OD for 3" schedule 80 3-1/2" without lock nut.

            by|May 6, 2023

A:  Yes! I ordered this box and then seen the other answer to this question saying "NO". This box does have 4 - 3" knock out. It is designed for underground installation.

              by|May 6, 2023

A:  Hello, The space provided by the knockouts only allows up to 2.5 inch conduit and is only designed for underground fed applications.
