A:  This is the exact reason we purchased this sun screen shade cloth. Yes, you can still see the sun but it does cut the brightness and glare off the water. I would say about 50% reduction. For us, this works as expected. We put grommets in the corners and hang it when needed. Easy to put up and take down when needed.

        Answer This Question

A:  This would cut off so much solar, the panel would not function! You might try a louvered panel, or lattice. Better yet, contact the panel manufacturer and ask HIM what's up. Never heard of too much solar on a solar panel!

A:  I have an arbor...it is very effective in controlling the heat from overhead sun. Why not buy a small patch and see what it can do for for your solar needs.

A:  This material is EXTREMELY tough. However … :| it is loosely woven, providing a good catch-and-hold for naughty claws. On the upside, you can't really see through it and I think seeing the other side and wanting over there is a big driver for, as example, cats. You might do well to buy a small piece (by the foot, in store) to test on your particular critters. I wouldn't count on it for bugs, as it's SHADE cloth … meant to block sun but allow air.

A:  It has had a raccoon climb it with no visible damage but other than that no critters have bothered it.

A:  The material is polyethylene, similar to those sun shade sails. Durable and UV resistant. I have mine up for almost 2 years and no problem with the color and material. They're still holding up well.

A:  Hi Joe, Unfortunately, because this product is not an engineered building this shelter is not live load rated. The amount of wind to be withheld will also depend on the mounting method. If you have any additional questions please feel free to call us at 1-80-932-9344. Thank you

A:  I have had it around my chain link dog enclosure for 3 years in Wyoming. I have seen 40-50 mph winds, and it is still holding together. Minor tears on 2 spots where it was clipped.

A:  The wind we experience out on our elevated deck averages about 20 mph on a blustery day and the screen shows no back effects. On any day that it is very heavy in the 30-40 mph range I detach it and roll it up until it blows over.
