    Answer This Question

A:  Every Home Depot has a rental department, and they also do repairs on tools and can tell you about parts . But remember if you brought it with the Home Depot credit card . You can return it up to a year of having it. No question ask. That is the benefit of having a Home Depot Credit Card..  Hope this helps you.

A:  Hello, We do not offer a clamp ring removal tool at this time. Page 7 of the installation instructions in the link below goes over how we recommend removing these rings with a flat-bladed screwdriver and a pair of pliers. If you have additional questions please don't hesitate to reach out to our technical support department at 877-700-4242. https://www.sharkbite.com/sites/default/files/migrate/SB_PEX_Install_Instructions_2017_FINAL_WEB.pdf Best Regards,

            Answer This Question

A:  I have installed hundreds of clamps and have removed dozens of clamps that have already been crimped. I have done these clamps in quite tight conditions as well. That said, I never saw anything that would cause it to break... However, if you go to the site you can find a warranty link and you can read all about it.

Q:Can i use this on a wood boiler pex line will it seal the line or do i need boiler pipe clamps

                Answer This Question

A:  As long as a pex line is suitable to connect to the boiler, this style of clamp works fine. This kind of clamp is stainless steel, more durable than pex alone, pretty easy to get into a tight area, easy to remove if needed. I have a propane fired boiler for in floor heating and we have almost exclusively pex and have extensively used this type of fitting, including when doing a retrofit of adding valves to isolate parts of the system.

A:  I would not recommend it due to pipe boiler clamps have specifications which don't match with Shark pex.

                  Answer This Question

A:  This style of crimper doesn’t use dies. It is for square crimp rings. The jaws open up and are placed on the square protruded part of the ring then squeezed. Much more convenient, this is a great tool, all of the guys always want to use it. I’m a licensed plumber

A:  this does not use dies, it crimps a special band clamp using the jaws in the face of the clamp tool

A:  This is a clamp tool to be used with our stainless steel clamps. It does not require different dies for each diameter size. If you have further questions, please contact Customer Service M-F, 8am-5pm at (877) 700-4242.

A:  There are no dies required. This tool uses the end to crimp the band. Watch the first video, the second half of the video shows how this tool works.

A:  This tool is used for "CLAMP" fittings which uses the same tool for all 4 sizes. "CRIMP" fittings use different fasteners and require a separate die for each size.
