Thank you for contacting SharkBite. We do make a PVC slip coupling in 3/4". You will need to wrap the coupling in our silicone wrap to protect it from coming in contact with the soil. Q:With this slip connection does it matter which way the water flows toward or away from slip end?

Q:If the length of the 3/4? coupling is 4.42? and the required length of the pipe insertion is 1.1? on each side, why do the specs say the coupling can span only a 2? gap. It seems that the precise gap would be 2.22?.

Q:What is the minimum gap or pipe cutout to utilize this. Or, how far does it extend from pipe end when fully slid onto the slip side?

A: It should have a minimum distance. On other words, if I do not cut my pipe by 2 inches maximum distance, is it okay if I cut by a distance less than 2 inches, for example 1 inch or 1/2 inch or even lower?
