A:  Yes, Our universal levers are universal, where the levers can be swapped for right or left handed doors.

    Q:Any way to disable the feature where the lever unlocks when the door is opened from the inside. This is a great unit but I don't want a child to reach up, pull the handle and unlock the door.

    A:  Hello, Thank you for asking this question! Unfortunately, the auto-unlock feature cannot be disabled on the F51 lockset. We do have other models like the J54 which requires rotation of the thumbturn to lock/unlock the door. Otherwise, the child proof accessories are compatible with our locks and can help prevent small children from opening the door.       Q:I?ve been told if all of my Schlage exterior deadbolt locks, exterior entry door levers, & exterior entry door handles are ordered together they will be keyed all the same so that one key will open all locks at my home once installed. Is this accurate?

Not all retailers offer this option so we advice asking them beforehand.               Q:I'm thinking of replacing our crappy builder installed entry door knob for our garage door that leads into our garage with this Schlage system. I'm a little confused. If I unlock the interior knob, does the exterior knob unlock as well until I lock the interior knob? Reading some of the comments indicates the exterior knob is remains locked regardless if the interior knob's setting.

              A:  Exterior entry knobs with key access are setup almost universally (if installed correctly) so that, if the knob is locked, you can still open the door freely from the interior while the exterior knob will not turn. With the door unlocked, both sides will operate the door freely. Doesn't matter if the knob is locked or unlocked with the key or the thumb knob inside.

              A:  If the F51 is in the locked position, you can always rotate the interior knob to exit. This also throws the interior knob in the unlocked position meaning you must either flip the interior thumbturn into the locked position prior to closing the door, or lock the F51 with a key.
