A:  Once installed, the front leveling legs should be lowered and adjusted to level the unit (the legs will raise the front of the fridge off the wheels so it won't move).

      Answer This Question

A:  Hi RAGTOP, The RF18HFENBBC doesn't have an internal filtration system. I would suggest reviewing the instructions in your external filter to determine why the ice is black. Perhaps it needs to be flushed or soaked for a certain period of time, which is not unusual with some filters. Thanks for your question, and for choosing Samsung! Ms. Samsung

        Answer This Question

A:  The RF197ACRS is rated for AC115V 60Hz and 11.6 Amps. While I can't tell you the draw during particular cycles, I can tell you that Samsung refrigerators typically draw between 0.8 and 4.3 amps depending on which cycle is active. Thank you for your interest, Ms. Samsung

          Answer This Question

A:  Thanks for the question. The RF197ACRS does not have "zero radius" hinges which would permit the doors to open without the need for additional clearance on the sides. The specifications sheet and User Manual provide the clearance recommendations for this model, which include 1" on each side, and 2" on the top and rear. The clearance enables the hinges to clear so the doors can open 90-degrees, and also provides air circulation so the Refrigerator can operate efficiently. Please note that if either door is opening into a wall, additional clearance will be needed for the handle to clear. - Ms. Samsung

A:  When manufacturer's list width, they do this based on a home owner (builder, etc.) measuring width between a wall and a cabinet counter-top (or between two cabinets). If you look at a lot of newly built homes, and even many older ones, many people place a refrigerator with the front doors (including the hinges) protruding out in front of the cabinets by an inch or more. For this reason, the manufacturers do not consider the addition width required for the doors to fully open, as in many homes, they open with plenty of clearance outside (in front of) the counter-tops.

              Answer This Question

A:  The RF197ACBP has a case depth of 24-3/8", which is considered counter depth. Samsung recommends leaving at least 2" behind the refrigerator to allow for air circulation, water and power connections. Thanks for your interest, Ms. Samsung

A:  I am not sure what counter depth measurements are but the specs on this one are correct. My guess would be that it is slightly deeper than counter depth. However, it is a wonderful unit.
