A:  No, we have not heard of any modification done to the lock on this mailbox.

A:  They come with locks and keys.

A:  Hello. The incoming mail deposit opening is 10" W x 1-3/4" H. This unit can accommodate small flat rate boxes. I have provided a video to help you visually with the actual size of the unit and deposit opening. https://youtu.be/fVicDSSkmL0 Thank you.

A:  Set it next to the box or on top

A:  They aren't. The post person delivers a package to the house or puts it in a package box beside the driveway. Anon

A:  My box can hold up to 3 weeks or more of mail including junk mail and small packages.

A:  The box is a good size. I would think it would hold several days depending on how many ads, magazines you get.

A:  the lower compartment that holds incoming mail is 12" wide 15" deep and 7" tall. The incoming mail slot will not accept anything over 1 1/2" thick. If all you get is letters it will hold quite a bit.

A:  Hello Kyle. Unfortunately, we would not be able to determine how many days of mail this unit holds. However, we can provide you with the compartment dimensions, which is approximately 12" W x 7" H x 18" D. Thank you.

A:  The plate on the bottom of the mailbox can use any plate with matching holes for the bolts.

A:  The bolt pattern on the mailbox for mounting is 2-5/8" X 2-5/8".
