Answer This Question
A: Hi Mary, our vent mesh is not recommended for applications of concentrated heat (ie: dryer vents, heating registers, etc). The vent mesh is designed for standard ventilation applications such as attic vents. I hope this helps, if you have additional questions you can speak to a live representative through our chat feature at www.adfors.com or call 1-800-762-6694.

Q:I have birds getting into dryer vent from exterior. Can this withstand the heat from clothes dryer vent?

Answer This Question
A: Hello,
This is dependent upon the temperature of the dryer vent location. The coating on the fiberglass vent mesh is intended to handle some elevated temperatures, but at excessive temperatures the coating could begin to break-down prematurely. For most dryer-vent applications, this would not be a concern. However in especially high temperature situations, you may want to investigate our ADFORS aluminum vent mesh. This product can handle even higher temperatures and serves the same purpose.
