Answer This Question
A: Hello Valerie! While Safavieh Outdoor rugs are designed to withstand a variety of weather conditions, leaving them out during rain, humid environments, heavy winds, storms, hurricanes, and snow is not advised. Rugs should be rolled up when fully dry and stored indoors, in a shed/garage or dry and cool area. If a rug is left in the rain by accident, please hang the rug over a railing in sunlight until it has completely dried. All our outdoor rugs are made with durable synthetic materials to help them to withstand high traffic and natural weather elements. Our outdoor rugs can easily be cleaned by rinsing with a garden hose. We highly recommend drying indoor-outdoor rugs over a railing in the sunlight on both sides. Thank you for your question!

Q:I would like to use this on a hardwood floor, in a hallway. I need something with very low pile to fit under a door with very little clearance, so I cannot use a rug pad. Is this safe for hardwood flooring, and is it slippery?

Answer This Question
A: Hi Kate. As long as the rug is being held and does not slip, you will be fine without a rug pad. The pad is to prevent shifting and sliding. However, we do have outdoor pads available as well. Thank you for your inquiry.
