A:  It is safe to both vacuum and shampoo. I vacuum it weekly with a normal vacuum and then shampoo it about once every six months or so, it just takes a little longer to dry.

A:  Mine had a strong smell too that lasted about 3 days. I sprayed Febreeze on it to help mask the odor which helped a lot!

A:  Offgassing is at its peak in the first 24-48 hours after the carpet has been installed. Depending on the room temperature, the process could take from 4 or 5 days to up to a few weeks.

A:  Mine did not have a chemical smell and I'm extremely sensitive to strong odors. Just smelled like a new carpet for a few days and now not noticeable.

A:  Hello. The smell is likely from the packaging and will usually subside is 1 week depending on how soon it can air out. The longer the rug has been in the packaging the longer it will take the air. Thank you for your inquiry.
