Q:Is this rug treated with something that could leave a residue to the touch? My rug leaves a light sticky feeling when you walk across it with bare feet. Maybe leftover from a fire retardant spray? Is it toxic to people or pets?

A: I purchased the beige and it was perfect, it is not brown, not tan, it is Beige (more toward the gold side). Love this rug. very well made and beautiful. I am ordering another.
