Q:Does this synthetic rug have a toxic odor?
by|Jun 26, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Hello, generally, new Safavieh rugs will emit an odor. This odor is likely caused by the packaging material, dyes, fiber yarns, and or backing. These are all natural odors that are sometimes heightened after the rug has been sealed for shipping and/ or storage. The odor is not toxic and will dissipate within 1 - 2 weeks, after removing from the packaging. Please view our website for more information to reduce the odor: https://safavieh.com/rug-care-and-cleaning. We hope this is helpful!

Q:Do you guys provide samples so we can check the color?

Answer This Question
A: Hello! Unfortunately, we do not have small sample sizes of our rugs. If you are unsure about the color or fiber of a Safavieh rug you can always purchase the smallest size and then return it to the retailer that you purchased from. It's best to return to a retailer that offers in-store returns. Thank you for your question!

Q:Can you see foot prints on this rug?

Answer This Question
A: The Milan Shag is a cut pile rug, and footprints may be shown on this rug. Routinely vacuuming the rug or using a carpet rake/brush may help. Shags with loop piles are likely the best option, if you do not want to see the appearance of footprints. Thank you for your question.

Q:What is the difference between the Milan shag and California shag outside of the price?
by|Jul 30, 2022
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Thank you for contacting Safavieh. The California Shag and the Milan Shag have a few differences such as the color, weave density, and the way the fibers are layered. The Milan is more dense giving that lush, soft, cushy feel under your feet. Both rugs have the same pile height of 2" but the Milan is much softer. Both shags are our best sellers!

A: Very soft and plush. But yes, I need to adjust my vacuum to low suction to be able to vacuum. Will not disappoint

A: Thank you for your question. We recommend using a canister vacuum without beater bars or disengage the beater bars when vacuuming. You can also use the vacuum cleaner attachments. Do not use a rotating brush or turbo brush but instead use a bristle brush when vacuuming. You may also use our website to view care instructions: https://safavieh.com/rug-care-and-cleaning
