A:  I saw that in commentary in another review. I wasn’t sure what to expect. There is no metallic threading in this item. I didn’t notice a “shimmer” right out the box or once fully set up at my table with sunlight shining in. It’s something about the fabric quality and the weave that results in this ever so slight sheen. The ever so slight sheen is noticeable if you are 2 inches away, glaring. It’s not so bold it will impact your design/decor. You’d overlook it if previous reviewer had not mentioned.
