Q:I'm wondering if the accent color on the black rug is burgandy or more red. It appears different in the two photos provided.

A:  Hello Donna, thank you for your inquiry. Due to color being subjective, we recommend you order the smallest size rug and return it after viewing it at hand. We strive to accurately display color but due to viewing online especially pictures that have different lightings, this creates color variance. Hope this helps.

          A:  Thank you for your question. Shedding is common in all Wool Rugs. What happens is there is loose wool and this will fall out. The most shedding will occur in the first few months. Over time, this will be less and less but it will still continue.

            Q:This rug looks more red that burgundy. Is it truly more on the red side than the burgundy? I am hoping it is more on the red side. Burgundy would not work for me. Do not want to order until my question is answered. it is just what I have been looking for.

                  Q:Is the backing heavy and stiff enough to have the rug lay flat? We bought a cheaper one from a different manufacturer and it was lumpy and the edges curled. It would not lay flat.

                  A:  Hi JJ. The backing of this rug is made of cotton so it isn't as stiff as rugs without a backing. In the event of rugs not laying flat, we would recommend either to back-roll them or keep a heavy object on the edges until they flatten out. Thank you for your inquiry.

                        A:  To the Safavieh staff, thank you for the response, but it didn’t really answer my question. Let me try again. I bought a competitors product, and the backing was very soft. However, it was a thinner rug, and even after being laid flat for a months with weights scattered on top of it, the edges still curl and there are lumps and waves throughout the body of the rug. A few years ago I had previously bought a Safavieh rug (from the Stratford Collection) and it had a heavy and stiff backing. This rug was awesome. It only too a short time after unrolling it before it laid completely flat. I love it. The question: does this current product (the Chelsea Collection) have the same backing? Thanks JJ
