Q:My question is to ensure this unit is in sections so it can get into a home being remodeled. I didn’t read that it’s a 4 part, the tub, and 3 wall sections. Second question, can grab bars be installed in the wall panels? See Photo of sterling tub.

Q:My building contractor caulked the seams where the wall surround meets the sterling ensemble tub and the seams in the wall surround. Isn't this a caulk-less tub wall surround design? Does this void the warranty?

A: Hello Dave, this is Keisha with Sterling. I am happy to address your question. The unit should not be caulked at each seem where the walls meet and or where the walls meet the bath. The installation guide does show where the unit should be caulked. Over caulking may cause water to get trapped and may results in issues. We would suggest to review the installation guide and remove the caulk in the locations that the install does not state for it to be. Thank you for choosing Sterling Plumbing.

If the Vikrell product is installed on an uneven concrete floor or is poorly shimmed, the feet will "click" when they contact the concrete sub-floor. To correct, remove unit and re-set it into a mortar bed. Thank you for choosing Kohler.
