A: Thank you for the interest in the SPRAYIT LVLP Spray Guns. Yes, you can paint a gun with these stray guns. Please watch people using the SPRAYIT LVLP videos on Youtube.
A: As with all such apparati, (I'm showing off how smart I am...uh, think I am), unless you have a large enough compressor, you're going to have unsatisfactory results. For example, if you're intending to use the sprayer for auto painting, or any fine painting, I've seen recommendations of 10 hp compressors. The proof however is in any body shop. Visit one to see what they're using. On the other hand, I used my set with a pancake compressor and it worked pretty good although it would run out of air quickly and the application wasn't critical. Here's the bottom line, the kit itself is very good, not great, but very good and worth the money IMO, but it really requires a compressor rated at 12CFM to work effectively.
A: Please contact the coating manufacturer for spray gun recommendations. Thank you
A: This appears to screw into the opening for the gravity feed cup and then you attach the cup that comes with the 3M system. It doesn't say what the threads of the adapter are, but it's worth purchasing it and see if it will screw into the opening. If it doesn't then you can always return it. Just make sure you can do then before ordering. You can also check with the manufacturer to see if it will work. I have asked questions of them in the past and they have been responsive.

A: The adapter that harbor freight sells for their system screwed right onto mine.

A: This question can't be answered answered until you specify which Signature Series product you are talking about at they make many. For example, if you are talking about the THOMPSON'S® WATERSEAL® SIGNATURE SERIES - TRANSPARENT STAIN & SEALER product, you will note that in the bullet point above, it mentions the following: "Good for lacquers, enamels, stains, urethanes and fast dry and low viscosity paints" You can see that stains are included as they are low viscosity. Hope that helps.
A: I'm sure you can spray Thompson waterseal with this unit. I seem to remember it is pretty runny so I don't think it will need thinning. I don't know if this is an oil or latex product. But it really doesn't matter since you can spray both. However, spraying this product may cause uneven coverage. You might want to use a roller with 3/4" to 1" nap so coverage is more even.
A: Yes, please see images
A: No, it does not. There is a clear plastic lid over the packaging shown in the picture.
A: The cardboard box has a plastic carry handle.......however, there is no injection-molded case included that Makita, Bosch, etc. often provides.
A: I did look at the Product images. There is an image of the kit in a tray but not of a case. This could be a shipping tray that comes in a box instead of a case.
A: No it does not. But this is an awesome paint sprayer if you have a small compressor.
A: No
A: Yes, it does a nice primer coat, and better then expected base coats, I thought is a good utility gun for the money
A: I am not familiar with that paint. I will tell you if that paint is anything similar to latex in terms of viscosity, probably not. The gun is not for large jobs, it is slow. Seems better suited for anything that is thin and watery in consistency. I used for polyurethene finish.
A: Not sure. I would direct your question to the manufacturer. I have asked a few questions of them and they have been quite helpful.
A: Thank you for the interest in the SPRAYIT LVLP Spray Gun. The SP-33000 LVLP Spray Gun comes with a 1.3mm Nozzle with optional sizes of 1.5,1.7 & 2.0mm
A: Hi Steve, we do not offer a 1.4mm needle for the LVLP Gravity Feed Spray Gun Kit on Homedepot.com. Thanks for shopping Home Depot!
A: I recommend that you contact the manufacturer. I have done this and they answered my question quickly.
A: No this gun is not a bleeder. As to a site to explain the difference in needle sizes you could try YouTube.
A: These are not full-bleed guns. They work with an air compressor and only shoot air/product when the trigger is pulled. This is one of the reasons I purchased them. Prior to this purchase I used an inexpensive hvlp turbine-type gun which blows air as soon as the machine is turned on. That unit pushes a large volume of air all the time, which blows dust around if pointed in the wrong direction. It worked well for full-size doors, but for spraying my wood turnings (bowls, chalices, etc.) I needed guns that would not knock them over and push them off the table. I use mostly General Finishes products. They list the recommended nozzle sizes for each of their products on their website. In most cases, thin finishes use small nozzles. I like that this kit has four sizes to choose from.
A: Thank you for the interest in the SPRAYIT LVLP Spray Guns. These are not bleeder spray guns. The sizes of nozzles and needles depends coating and amount of coating you want to spray. Visit California Air Tools.com for more information.
A: I have gone to youtube for an explanations such as what needle size to use, thinning and other such topics. But be careful so videos are better than others.
