A: Yes - it has a sliding style damper box made from plastic that is easy to open and close. Nice because it doesn't seize or rust like other metal damper boxes.

A: Only if you drill holes for screws. They are designed for floors and do not have screw holes or screws to attach to the duct.

A: No, as there are no holes on the sides to adhere it to the wall. I guess you could glue it to the wall or drill holes on each side to adhere it, but I would not recommend it. The item is very nicely made and I highly recommend it when used as a floor register.

Answer This Question
A: Go with the measurement of the hole in the floor. The measurement listed on this HD floor vent is the rounded up size of the underside, not the top bronze cover. You'll have about 1/4" of space all around for the vent to fit in the hole.

A: The air flow control is like a shutter, so you use the tab to slide the shutter side to side. The is no directional control, just open or close.
