A: You need the .065 diameter cord. You can also buy preloaded spools with the proper cord already wound on them.

A: Hello Johnny you need Ryobi 0.065 replacement auto feed line spools for this trimmer. Be and stay safe
A: Blue - 0.065". I usually buy a 40ft cord and rewind the spools myself.
A: Hello Greenlee when using my trimmer when it gets really short it shoots off of the trimmer by itself then it's time to replace the line, so you don't have to take the string off when it gets short, hope this helps stay and be safe.
A: When you squeeze the trigger it will automatically come out and set itself to right length. It will happen every time you pull in the trigger
A: It lets out 1/4" each time you allow it to come to a stop and restart it.
A: Turn it off and let it come down in speed until you hear a click when it is almost stopped.
A: It should come out automatically but you can press the white button on the head of the trimmer
A: Hi Greenlee Thanks for your inquiry. You have an option for the auto-feed, by engaging/disengaging the trigger. This will feed the string out 1/4 each time. You also have a manual option, where you can press the slider button to manually, to pull some string out. Hope this helps. Best Regards Thank you for contacting RYOBI

A: Hello John, Thanks for asking. This RYOBI RY401120-Y ONE+ 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Hybrid Electric Cordless Battery String Trimmer/Edger has a cutting swath of 10 to 12 inches. - Eve
A: The cutting swath is adjustable from 10" to 12".
A: 10-12 inch
A: Adjustable to 10 or 12".
A: This is a complaint, not a question. Ours works great on the battery. Need to use the largest battery from Ryobi.
A: Trimmer is great, have two 4AH batteries! The batteries outlast me, and I am very active.
A: Thank you WackySandi1 for your inquiry. I apologize for the problems the tool is giving you. Please take the unit into one one of our authorized service center. https://www.ryobitools.com/support/center ~ I hope this help, Alexandria
A: There is no extra purchase needed. All you need to do is turn an adjuster knob and you’re good to go.
A: Hello Brandi! This product is not universal attachment capable. Thanks for your question! - Eve
A: It cut down weeds between my lawn and the cornfield very nicely . Not able to do it with the normal trimming line. Now I have a clear line of sight to the corn stalks. It looks a lot better back there.
A: Yes, the plastic cutters fit. I got a package of Two at Home Depot. I personally did not like them, I don’t think they cut close enough without damage to either the cutters or the object being trimmed. The string does a better job and is not that expensive.
A: Hello Leonard! We have two options Model # AC052N1 and the Model # ACFHRL2. Thanks for reaching out to us! - Eve
A: This trimmer uses a plastic string.
A: it says in description (tool only)
A: Can’t see it in the picture. A black battery pack locks into the flat part of the top handle
A: I think the question is "where is the battery". This trimmer is sold as a tool only. The battery is sold separately or for those that already have a battery. The 18V battery plugs into the end of the handle up by the trigger switch. This trimmer will also work as a plug-in trimmer using an extension cord and 120V power.
A: Hi Tvobcal. This product does not come with a battery and charger, but features a hybrid option that can be used by way of an extension cord, and works with any of the 18 volt RYOBI ONE+ batteries and chargers. Thanks. - Eve
A: Any Ryobi made 18V battery packs will work. That is type and size... Type.. The old blue ones aka NiCAD, and the new grey/green- aka Lithium Ion Size... 2Ah, 4Ah, 8Ah, etc. as long as they are all rated 18Volts and they are Ryobi Batteries they will fit.
A: I bought Ryobi Trimmer because it is light weight and I already had a Ryobi drill with two battery's. I use the trimmer all the time and it has served me very well.
A: This is just the bare tool (no battery included). The battery installs behind the handle. There is also a connector for an electric cord in the same place.
How can we help?
