A: You are able to disable the hammer function, so I suppose you could use as a normal drill. It definitely is a larger drill, though, and wouldn’t be my first choice to use in a regular drilling application as it is heavier and probably not ideal for drilling delicate, smaller diamter holes.
A: I just use masonry drill bits but i've heard that coring drill bits are used as well (i've never used those so cant say)
