A:  Thank you for reaching out! Rust-Oleum Porch and Floor Coating is intended for use on interior or exterior wood and concrete surfaces. We do not recommend this product for use on metal. If applying over a previous coating or primer, the product must also be suitable for use on walking surfaces. Our Clean Metal Primer is not considered to be a floor-grade coating and will cause any topcoat to crack and peel if used on floors. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 3

        Q:I live in the PNW (WA state) we get lots of rain and moss issues. Looking for a stain/paint for my deck that will last for more than 5 years where I don't have to strip off the paint to add more. Will this work in the PNW climate for this or does this eventually chip and flake off??. Also is 2 coats or is one coat good for naked cedar wood.??

While our Rust-Oleum Porch and Floor Coating may be applied to wood, we think our RockSolid 6x Deck Coat is a better option, as it is a thicker coating that is applied in one thick coat.
