Make sure the surface is clean and dry at the time of application as well. This can be used on children's furniture, and our recommendation is to leave items in a well ventilated area for one week after painting. This allows for the most complete curing as well as maximum coating hardness. To ensure full adhesion, the plastic must be primed. We recommend Rust-Oleum Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Water-Based Primer for paintable plastic surfaces. For lasting results, both the paint and the primer must be used on the exterior of the planter.
