Q:I’m planning to do a “show car” paint job - on a fire hydrant! The hydrant is heavy sand-cast steel, with the fine-textured surface roughness typical of that process. Would this product be a practical alternative to a skin coat of body filler, which is how I had originally planned to proceed after removing the existing paint?

A: This stuff covers up rough spots and masks small details. If that's what you are looking for, this is a good product. It serves as a filler and primer together. Might save you a step.

Q:A prof. auto painter started priming my car with MP170 epoxy primer now it's up to me- I was told I need to stay with a urethane base primer- the car has a few places that need a filler primer--- auto store naturally suggest an expensive PPG surfacer and filler and the finish coat is PPG omni.
