Q:I mounted to studs using Hillman 2 wood screws with countersink heads. The screw head is not quite flush against the upright and I cannot place the bottom of the bracket above it. What screw works best?

A: I would use the twin shelf tracks. The brackets will be more stable and wiggle less than the single track.
