Q:Can this rod be used without a center support bracket

          Answer This Question

A:  Hi Kathy, This rod set may be mounted without using the center support, however the success of this installation is highly dependent on the weight of the curtains and the type of mounting surface. Studs or wooden frames work the best, and non weighted lined curtains can be used with just the end brackets in most circumstances.

            Answer This Question

A:  The max recommended weight for this rod set is around the 14 lb range. For best results, and maximum holding power we advise mounting the brackets into the wood frame or stud whenever possible.

A:  Thank you for contacting us, this rod has a projection of 2.875" from the wall. We do have ceiling mounted brackets that would fit this rod, available on the Home Depot site, model number: 1911-15.

Q:My door is 167 in. Will this "120 in. - 170 in" fit? Will it be too short? Thanks

                Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for contacting us, if your door is 167" then this largest size fully extended should be enough. The 170" length is only the rod so you have to count a few more inches on each side for the finials.

                by|May 4, 2023

A:  We had a 165+ inch run and there was enough overlap. Our window was a double wide sliding glass door(s). The rod comes in 3 sections. Obviously, you need a center support bracket and to lock down the rods with the set screws to keep them from moving. We only went a couple of inches past the window/door molding.
