Q:Is this product safe for use on vinyl plank flooring? If not then please provide a recommended producy.

A:  Always Test 5505 in an inconspicuous area prior to use. NOTE – The chemical composition of adhesives can vary greatly. Some reactive adhesives are difficult to remove once fully cured. It is always best to remove adhesives immediately while they are fresh. Do not scrub surface of wood aggressively as this may damage the surface.

    Q:Can this be used on automobile outside surfaces. I'm trying to remove old tape that was stuck to outside surface of vehicle.

      A:  Roberts R5505 Urethane, Multipurpose and Specialty Adhesive Remover is a superior formula, designed to aid in removing adhesive from flooring surfaces and tools. Simply apply a small amount onto a clean, white cloth or onto a soft bristled tooth brush and agitate in a circular motion until the tape dissolves and wipe the surface cleans.

May be used to remove fresh moisture-cure urethane adhesive, 2-part epoxy, fresh carpet seam sealers (PVA), multipurpose adhesives, carpet adhesives and vinyl composition tile adhesives (SBR).

          A:  The adhesive has migrated into the porous wood subfloor. The wood subfloor will need to be resurfaced or replaced.

              Q:i recently installed bamboo flooring on my first floor and using Robert adhesive 1509... it was a mess and I was recommended to use Robert 5505 adhesive remover to clean them up.. it worked on the wet glue, but for the dried glue it is a pain to get it off...and now my floor is full of smears left behind by the Robert 5505 adhesive Remover Towelettes and I have tried many many stuff to get rid of the spots off my floor but no luck. do you know what can i use to clean this off the floor ? see picture below.. restain the brand new floor would be my last resort. please help.

              A:  Ethan I had no problem removing wet and dried glue i had to use a little elbow grease but the glue came off with no residue. Sorry you had such a problem

Uses: For the removal of fresh and recently cured urethane from pre-finished (non-wax) wood flooring.General: Unwanted adhesive should always be removed while it is fresh for best results. The chemical composition of adhesives can vary greatly. Chemically reactive adhesives gain strength over time and unless removed in their initial cure phase they will create a chemical bond to the substance they are on.
