A:  I'm not sure what you mean by rip but, I bought this for a project so I didn't have to get a saw. I put in 18" tile on my floor and when I was purchasing this product I assumed that when they said it could handle tile up to 24" tile that meant 24" tile straight or diagonal. I just out to my garage and looked at it because I wasn't sure but I couldn't find my tapemeasure. The sucker standing up is well over 3ft so I'm going to say that it means it can do 24" tile straight or diagonally. Anything larger than that you will need to measure the length of the diagonal cut because the maximum this can handle is 35".

A:  HI it all depends on the texture of the tile most of the times will cause the tile to chip due to the surface of the tile been to thin usually for this type of material is better to use a wet saw however we will recommend to contact the manufacture of the tile for advise that way you are cover and follow their installation guide lines for warranty purposes thank you

A:  I do not recommend this item for 3D tile. It is suitable for straight cuts. With the included tool, it can cut at multiple angles, too.

A:  There is a guide tool that allows for cuts at multiple angles. Good for mitering corners, etc.
