A: Concrete. I set it up on pavement in a parking lot. I did anchor it to the pavement though. I would recommend anchoring on whatever you use. I would think you could use it on just dirt or grass on a level area, but would figure a good anchor system for those applications such as heavy duty ground anchors and strapping.

Q:How will this hold up in a hail storm? How hard is it to get replacement panels if some are damaged?

A: We have had 60+ mile an hour winds with heavy rain (no hail) and a couple panels blew out. They were retrieved and reinstalled without much issue. Give yourself a weekend to build this with a friend. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!! It will go so much quicker and easier if you follow the instructions to the letter.
