Q:Our kitchen cabinets have Blum Compact 1-3/8 in. Overlay Face Frame Cabinet Hinges. At times they slip out of place and I need to tighten them. A few times a door will slip completely out and I need reinstall. What can I do to prevent the slipping?? Not all hinges do this.

A: You just have to keep checking the doors to make sure the hinge screws are tight and the doors are aligned. If not aligned correctly you might have to slightly loosen the screws, square up the door and tighten the screws. Good luck.

A: Hello Rick, thank you for your question and your interest in our products. The standard size for hinge cups is 35 mm which will convert roughly to 1-3/8 inch. Chances are that if the holes are already made. However, if they are to mill the doors, a 1-3/8 inch boring bit will be a bit too big and the hinge will not be snug. It's important to use a 35 mm bit.
As for the depth, the standard is 13 mm deep. ½ inch is 12.7 mm, so yes, these are compatible. I hope this helps. Best regards. Customer care team.

A: I just installed this in an existing hole that was 1 3/8 in. diameter and 7/16 in. deep. The way that the two screws secure the cup onto the door, the extra 1/16 in. depth that you have shouldn't be an issue.
