Questions and Answers for Rev-A-Shelf 19 in. H x 20.75 in. W x 22 in. D Base Cabinet Pull-Out Chrome 2-Tier Wire Basket

A:  You have to screw into the bottom of the cabinet, the back and the stile on one side, but not the other. Mine are mounted on the right, but you may have a choice. I am wondering how this will work for you since it seems the sink and drain will be in the way of at least the top shelf.

A:  Yes, you can although i would attach it on the bottom and the back rather than the top and the back. I have installed the stacked rev a shelves in my cabinets and my in laws without using the side mount option. They have been up for several years and work great.

A:  Yes, it can. We had the same issue when installing it for our kitchen cabinets. If screwed to the side, it would actually block the tracks and will not work for us. We've installed it without securing it to the side. We've had it installed couple of years back (w/o screwing it to the side) and still no issues. It's sturdy enough just anchoring to the bottom.

A:  it only has to be screwed to the bottom and the frame is adjustable to allow for the "P"trap

A:  For normal installation it is fastened by 1) two screws into one edge of the face frame, 2) four screws into the bottom of the cabinet and 3) two screws into the back of the cabinet. With no screws into the edge of the face frame the unit will be less stable meaning it will have to be used more gently keep it from flexing and binding or to prevent pulling the other screws out of the cabinets.

A:  Yes, You have to screw it into the bottom and back of the cabinet.

A:  The height of the top shelf can be set at three heights (approx. 12", 13.25" & 14.5") if they are still made the same as the ones that we bought in 2017. Please note that the opening for the unit has to be at least 19".

A:  the shelf can be adjusted from 12" t 15"

A:  It has 3 height adjustments on top basket.

A:  No, the shelf height is not adjustable.

A:  No it's 19"

A:  Measure the opening then select the size closest to the opening without being larger.

A:  The dimensions of the unit are accurate outside measurements. Measure your cabinets and order the largest one that will fit. Be aware that the space at the back inside of the cabinet must be clear to the height of the unit. If there is a small shelf at the back of the space it will have to be removed.

A:  Measure your cabinet. It should be at least 21 inches high so that there is enough room to store stuff on the upper shelf. The depth and width are "given", and you must have that much space to acomodate the pull out This is a very sturdy two tier pullout, and we have had no problems with it.

A:  Measure the cabinet opening that the door is covering, not the inside of the cabinet itself. A typical 36" base cabinet with two doors and two drawers separated by a center style would have an opening measuring 15" wide by 21 -1/2" high.

A:  I’ve installed these in all lower cabinets in two homes, and attach them with provided screws to “floor” of cabinet and they work great. Very stable, well made.

A:  I did that and it works fine.

A:  I installed a pair of them in a similar cabinet. As long as the frames are centered in the door opening (which should measure 15") you will have no problems. I secured mine to the back and bottom of the cabinet and nothing to the sides and have no problems. The 14.75" measure is the width of the frame, not the sliding basket itself which is slightly narrower.

A:  The shelves attach to the back and bottom of the cabinet, not the sides. I have two of them installed side by side and they work fine.

A:  Mine are attached to the bottom of the cabinet and the rear of the cabinet. There is no attachment on the sides.

A:  Yes, absolutely. I have mounted these in cabinets as you described in kitchen base cabinets, sink bases and bathroom vanities. I put mine centered in the door opening. Make sure they are secured to the cabinet floor. These are heavy duty units that will make you smile everytime you use them.

A:  Yes, you attach (screw) them to the back of the cabinet so you should be able to put one on each side.

A:  No. I have several Rev-A-Shelf units and the 8.75" units are too short at 18" for my 24" deep cabinets. I made a wooden block and attached it to the back of the cabinet and then attached the Rev-A-Shelf to the block.

A:  no. you just mount it to where you want. my cabinet is the same. I use it for pots and pans

A:  No but you can install a couple of inches back and put something that can be moved easy when you need to pull out the shelf.

A:  No - the mounting brackets are fixed. This particular item is fixed at 18". You do lose a little space but these baskets work very well and quite sturdy when assembled.

A:  No. The basket unit is 18 " deep. The adjustable rear mounting bracket is for additional horizontal support. You can screw it to the back of the cabinet, but it won't adjust as much as you need. I have 10 of these units, some 2 tier some single tier. I have not installed the rear bracket on any of the 2 tier units. (I'm fat and don't bend properly to reach the backs of cabinets. That's one reason I installed these shelves.) If this is for a sink base, make sure you have clearance for the water supply pipes and the sink drain piping.

A:  No, it can't be adjusted, but even if it could, that half shelf would be in the way of the new baskets. We all have that half shelf and you can remove it by sawing through it and just pulling it out from the two sides. You may have to remove a phillips-head screw holding a middle support. You will destroy the half shelf in the process, but so what! We love our new drawers!

A:  The frame is welded together and is not movable. I faced the same challenges with the half shelf being in a groove on the walls of the cabinet. I cut through the shelf about 8-10 inches right down the middle. It weakened the shelf enough that I could flex the shelf out of the grooves.

A:  I would think that you have to remove the shelf. The brackets are spaced to support the load of the pull-out and moving them would not allow them to slide because the weight would be not distributed evenly.

A:  You can’t have any shelf in the cabinet. The support can not be move.

A:  I don't think you can and I would NOT try to leave the half shelf in place. I had the same thing in my cabinets and removed the half shelf by cutting it in half with a jigsaw, sawing from front to back. I was not able to get all the way to the back but was able to remove each side by using a hammer and breaking it out - hopefully, it will not have any attachments in the back. Mine had staples and I was able to pull the left and right sides of shelf forward to remove. You might try looking underneath the sides of shelf to see if there is a strip of wood to hold the edges up - if so, pry the shelf up from the strip with a large screwdriver. I hope this helps you because these units are the greatest thing since "sliced bread!"

A:  I have this size for my faced cabinet with door opening of 15 w x 21 h x 23 d and it is wonderful. Have plenty of room to store mixing bowls, and glass serving bowls. If you have walls on both sides of your cabinet, you can also slide larger items such as trays, along out side of wire basket frame and underneath the bottom wire shelf. Installed these 2 years ago, they look and function like brand new and these shelves get everyday use.

A:  You need to select by the cabinet opening, not the interior dimension of the cabinet. If the opening is too small the pull-out won't fit. From the dimensions provided this cabinet pull out will fit your cabinet.

A:  Yes this will be you best size. Easy to install and makes your entire cabinet easily accessible. I put them in all of mine.

A:  Yes, the next larger size is too wide to fit. This unit fastens to one side of the face frame and to the bottom and the back of the cabinet for maximum stability. That means if the cabinet has a shallow shelf in the back as many cabinets do, that shelf must be removed.

A:  This unit will certainly fit.

A:  There are holes on the sides and on the floor. To mount this using only the sides would require the exact space for this to fit in. I think if you mount only one side it would be wobbly. I mounted mine to the bottom and one side, I found that when I just had it screwed into the bottom it was wobbly, one or two screws in the side corrected this.

A:  They are designed to be mounted from the floor. There are not any pre-drilled holes on the side frames.

A:  Only from the bottom it has to clear the frame of the cabinet and the door. I have two different sliding shelves. If you are handy and creative you may be able to mount the one that has side bars, but the 8.75 wide slider, definitely not. I don't recommend side mount at all.

A:  That opening looks too small for this pull out.

A:  You have to build out the inside of the cabinet with 1X stock to mount from the side. There are places where you can drill holes to side mount. The unit is intended to mount at the bottom and back.

A:  floor only

A:  Yes I believe you could mount it from the side would require drilling holes in side bars that are 1/8 “ steel clearance from side could be blocked or shimmed out.

A:  This unit only mounts to the floor of the cabinet.
