A: My cabinets are oak, so I bought a 6'' wide piece of unstained red oak. The lumber store I bought it from trimmed the wood to fit my 4"gap. I then sanded and stained it to match. If you have cabinets already in place you will have to take one of them out to attach the pull out to it, then put both back in place. Also you will have to use wider strips than the directions call for to hold the pull out in place at the top and bottom. I hope the pictures will open up enough to show you what I'm talking about.

A: There is not a finished front board. You would need to supply that. The pull out cabinet is only 3" wide, so you would have to get spacers for the 5 " gap, then buy a 5" filler board that matches your cabinets.

A: You can use it as it only needs to be attached on one side.

A: The width is 3 in, so minimum space should be at least 1/2 inch bigger for any spice bottles that may overhang. I installed mine in a space 6 inches wide. The unit is shipped with a board screwed on the front for ease of installation, to be replaced with your front of choice. Normally a match to your cabinet door.
It has very good glides, mine is next to upper cabinet and I have a simple knob on the front to pull it open. I had to get creative and used a piece of my laminate flooring for my front. I added a divider in the space and use the other half to store my cutting boards.

A: Yes. It screws to the bottom and top.

A: Even though it is intended to install in-between (2) cabinets it is possible to attach in between a cabinet and a wall. The unit would simply attach the cabient and not the wall. The problem you may have is that typically this product installs in NEW cabinet construction and you may have a difficult time simply getting it screwed in, with only a 3" space. Maybe you have more than that

A: The filler which is actually the organizer only comes in maple finish to match 98% of most cabinet interiors. If you are asking about the cabinet itself, the cabinet in this photo is to simply illustrate that the product installs in-between (2) cabinets and not actually inside of a cabinet. The consumer would dictate what the cabinet they would install inbetween. Not Rev-A-Shelf as we don't manufacturer cabinets

A: Fillers need to be installed in NEW cabinet installation. This will not work in existing cabinets. Search for 448 Series and not 432 series part #'s. 448 series fit in existing cabinets

A: Fillers are intended to slide in-between new cabinets. You can only attach it to the adjacent cabinet when you have access. If you have a cabinet next to it you would not be able to get a drill in to attach. Too tight. Even for a right angle drill

A: I installed mine without having to remove any cabinets. If there is a 3 inch spacer and you can remove it, it should fit right in.

A: Not to my knowledge. all I had to add was the shims between the cabinet so the spice rack to square up and a front fascia to match the cabinets and you're all set.
