A: first let me ask, am i invited? the answer to your question is yes but its "R" factor is to low. Why don't you use conventional fiberglass bat insulation. staple it to the inside of the rafters as you intended. Use 6 inch thickness. installed with the fiberglass facing the roof and the paper side to the room.. hope this helps???

Q:Can I install this on an external wall and then place fiberglass insulation on top of it?

Answer This Question
A: There must be an air gap between the foil and the heat to be effective. Also this is a vapor barrier and so you would not want to have a vapor barrier on both sides of the fiberglass insulation generally speaking

A: There will need to be proper air spacing between the fiberglass and our product. Also depending on which state you live in you may need airspace between the wall and our product. I encourage you to check out our website under the DIY tab.

A: I am sure you can. Most External walls are set up to breathe. Wouldn't it be better to wrap the outside with Tyvek? I used the roll inside in areas with no bays for standard insulation (flat) as my house is very old.

A: I think it's fine as long as it is not directly exposed to sunlight or other weather elements. This insulation is a bubble wrap amalgamated with tin foil. Bbuble wrap provides air insulation layer while tin foil layer reflects infrared red radiation.

A: It will provide some insulation...yes. Not certain of the R Value. What does the label read?
by|Feb 2, 2022
A: Our product has no bearing on the cold. If the Garage is heated it will not allow the heat to escape creating a warmer environment. Our product works great for a garage door during warmer months!

Q:Can I install this product to the back of my electrical panel due to limited space to install typical batt insulation on an exterior wall before my electrician installs?
by|Jan 6, 2022

Answer This Question
A: This product is NOT a replacement for batt insulation. Besides, this product required spacing in between without touching the surfaces for it to work efficiently
by|Jan 11, 2022
A: Our product requires an airspace to work effectively. If you can achieve a 3/4 inch air space then yes. If not it would not do you any good.
by|Jan 6, 2022
A: This is not a good idea. Apart from national code requirement to install electrical panels against flat concrete or plywood walls you will not be able to achieve good contact with the wall. Later insulation deteriorates gap will develop against panel. In addition think about sparks or circuit breaker running hot. You want to remove as much heat as possible, but if you insulate the back of your panel you will stop this heat transfer.

A: I don't know. Install inside or outside the electrical panel?
Because this insulation is partly metallic, you will need to ask your electrician. You could install it, then cut out a portion if the electrician arrives and says "No!"

Q:Coild this be used to cover windows during winter to Keep in heat?

Answer This Question
A: Yes however you would want to take them down as soon as it warms up. Our product near a window when it is hot outside can cause damage to the window. The high reflectivity of radiant energy of our product going back out through a window can cause it to crack or break.
