A: Hello,
it is not brass, it's probably zinc with a brass plating just for looks and corrosion resistance.

A: These are aluminum, with a thin anodized coating that provides little protection, except on the shelf. They corrode readily in garden-hose use unless stored dry, and they can foul the fitting to which they're mated.

A: It has a brass looking coating. I just disconnected it from a sprinkler and there was a large amount of corrosion. I wire brushed it and discovered that the fitting is made of some sort of white metal subject to corrosion. I would stay away from this product.
