Q:Are there any fittings for Rainbird 1/2" tubing (with or without emitters) that can be removed and reassembled the following year without cutting the tubing?
by|May 11, 2023

Answer This Question
A: No, there are not fittings that can be removed and reassembled. The reason they are fitted to the tubing is to secure the line and not have any leaks.

A: This is not the perfect answer to your question, but I ran the entire 500' across my property to a group of trees I planted. I have at least 35 1-gph drippers at the end and they work fine. I did not use a pressure regulator at the start because of the distance involved and have about 70 psi water pressure at the starting point.

A: This tubing is known as 'blank' tubing. It's charged with water but nothing comes out. Once this is placed where you want it then you pierce this tubing with a barb connector and put 1/4" blank tubing on the connector. At the end of that 1/4" tube you add different types of emitters. There's drip emitters you can control how much water comes out, fan spray emitters, etc. You run different 1/4" tubes everywhere you want then put the appropriate emitter where you want. If you want a 1/2" drip line you put a T connector on the 1/2" blank tubing then 1/2" drip tube on the T. You can run a drip line and multiple 1/4" lines all off a single blank tube. The RainBird site has a good video on this setup.
