The replacement filters found at your local Home Depot store are taller than the filters that we had manufactured in the past; and comes with integrated rubber plate, they will fit your RIDGID® wet / dry vacuum without using any adapter. Please follow the following installation tips: 1. Carefully slide the filter over the filter cage and press down on the outside edge of the filter until the rubber gasket on the bottom of the filter seats securely around the base of the filter cage and against the lid. 2. Align the small center hole in the top of the filter cage over the threaded bolt on the filter cage. You may need to press firmly on top of the filter near the bolt to allow the filter nut to twist. Additionally, this HEPA filter is good for wet and dry pick-up. Please note not to mix dry material such as concrete and drywall dust with any wet pickup when using the HEPA filter for wet and dry pickups. Wash out the filter between dry and wet uses when vacuuming these materials.
