Answer This Question
A: The latches look like they might be popped off but no idea if they "pop" back on. I tried pulling on mine sideways to see but they didn't budge. Maybe with more pressure?

A: They are not intended to be removable, but anything is possible with a cut off wheel. What is your ultimate objective to removing the side latches?
by|Jan 25, 2023
A: The latches are on the front and I can see they might come off although that is not intended. More than likely you would destroy them if you did get them off. On the side, those and handles, not latches. It looks like you might be able to remove them although again not intended. These boxes are meant to seal and you'd leave a hole perhaps. They are actually rather handy I have found.

Q:It looks like there might be an accessible hollow space in the lid. Is that so? And if so how does it open?

Answer This Question
A: Yes, there is. You have to pop the panel out of the lid. It is made to hold the contents of the removable orange cups. Start from the hinge side if you do this. Also the divider bars holding the cups also comes out. Should make a great ham go box! 73!

A: I could easily fir anywhere from 16-20 (likely more) DeWalt 20v batteries of varying sizes.
The dividers are removable, and also, the inside lid is removable (with a screwdriver), and I often do that when I have tall or bulky items I wish to store in there. It almost doubles the inside storage capacity, but the times move around a lot more.
These are the best boxes I have ever used. I now have about 20 of them, and use them on a professional basis. Highly recommended.
