        A:  I didn't use a sleeve, I framed it out. It will work as long as all the vents aren't obstructed, If so it could cause the unit not function well or over heat.

          A:  NO, window a/c's are vented on the side and back and are for for window installation only, you will need to buy a thru the wall a/c unit which is vented to the rear only. Mike

          A:  No, it is manually controlled. I have taped window screen over all air inlet grilles on the unit (must vacuum them a few times each season) to keep wasps out, but I don't open them anyway. Running the cooktop exhaust fan brings in plenty of outside air.

                  A:  I REALLY LIKE THIS AIR CONDITIONER & I MEASURED 14 INCHES AS THE MINIMUM WINDOW HEIGHT ! YOU SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE A LITTLE EXTRA SPACE FOR ERROR ! I DO RECOMMEND THIS AC ! IT COOLS MY ROOMS QUICKLY !
