A:  Hello, thank you for asking. We are happy to help! At this time we are trimming all shrubs to ensure better branching and flowering in your landscape as well as to ensure they are not damaged during shipping. It should not effect the flowering of your plant! I hope this helps. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at helpdesk@provenwinnersdirect.com or 734-654-7485. Q:how does this compare with the endless summer hydrangeas? does this actually rebloom and does it have bigger flowers? This is now more than the endless summer so I would like to understand differences between the two options. Thank you

      Answer This Question

A:  Hello Thank you for reaching out. Let's Dance Blue Jangles is a big-leaf hydrangea that blooms on both old and new wood, with a tight, compact habit that is unusual among reblooming hydrangeas. Large flower heads will be a deep blue in acidic soils and a vivid pink in alkaline soils. Add aluminum sulfate to the soil to encourage blue flower color. Let's Dance® hydrangeas are best left unpruned - though they bloom on both old and new wood, you'll enjoy many more blooms over a longer period if you don't prune them except to remove any dead wood in spring, once the new growth has emerged. Big-leaf hydrangeas benefit from a good layer of shredded bark mulch to keep their shallow roots from drying out. In colder climates, they should get at least six hours of sun, ideally in the morning; warm climate gardeners should ensure plants are shaded during the hottest parts of the day. The Let's Dance® series of reblooming hydrangeas were developed in Michigan. They went through a gauntlet of brutal treatment to ensure that they would still create new wood flower buds during the growing season, when it counts. As always, please feel free to reach out to us at any time with any questions or concerns. You can email us at helpdesk@provenwinnersdirect.com or chat with us online! We are happy to help! ~ Cori

Q:I'm in zone 7a, I purchased 5 in the fall and planted dormant. Only 2 appear to be doing well and the other 3 barely have 1 green leaf and the wood stems broke off. Will they make it? Will my other 2 bloom this year?
