Q:Is this dimmable? Can you use LED lights in it?
by|May 3, 2021

Answer This Question

A:  Hello Susan, The Americana Collection 5-Light Chandelier has the ability to use LED bulbs as long as the LED equivalent wattage does not exceed the maximum rated incandescent wattage. The maximum incandescent wattage is 60 watts. This fixture does have the ability to be used with a standard incandescent dimmer switch. If you would prefer to use an equivalent CFL or LED bulb with a dimmer switch, you would need to ensure that a dimmable bulb is used and that you contact the bulb manufacturer to see what dimmers would be compatible with their bulb. Thank You

A:  Hello Sol, The Americana Collection 5-Light Chandelier is featured in Polished Brass as the only Brass Finish. The Polished Brass has a bright and reflective shine to the finish and tends to lean to the traditional yellowing of Brass. Thank You

        Answer This Question

A:  Yes, but LED candleabra style bulbs have a metal base that does not fit down into the white plastic "candle" sleeves. So although the bulb works, including being dimmable, there is a silver ring (the base of the LED bulb) between the top of the "candle" and the glass bulb, which spoils the "candle" effect. Incandescent candleabra bulbs do not have the problem.

                    Answer This Question

A:  Arms are connected to the base, you just rotate them into position. But there is still assembly requires for other parts.

                      A:  Assemble....so easy!

                      by|Apr 16, 2019

A:  The base and arms come preassembled but the arms are "folded" for transport. You do have to attach all of the vertical pieces and thread the electrical wires and safety wire through the assembly as you are putting it together, including threading it though the chain loosely in preparation for handing. [The box it is shipped in is about six inches thick and 2 feet square, which should give you a fair idea of how it comes disassembled from the factory.]
