Answer This Question
A: Yes, most faucets like this eventually leak at the packing washer. Turn off water supply. Usually remove handle, packing nut (reverse thread), then remove insert by "opening" faucet. Go to local h/w and take the washer and stem assy with you to make sure you get a new washer that fits tight !

Q:Is this faucet drinking water safe? How can I tell if an outdoor faucet is drinking water safe?

Answer This Question
A: Per the manufacturer's website, models with a -LF on the end of the number are lead free. Since this does not have the -LF, it likely has lead and would not be drinking water safe.
