Q:Don't see any leaks spaying soap solution on the fittings. I have a ball shutoff valve at the tank, and this leakdown occurs with it off. Any ideas? A bad check valve maybe?
        by|Aug 21, 2016
        1 Answer
        Answer This Question

A:  Regarding your Powermate 60 Gallon Air Compressor, the reason for your PSI drop could be a defective check valve? Besides spraying soap solution on the fittings, please also spray the unloader fitting (black elbow under the switch), transfer tubes and the fittings thread into the tank. Please let us know @ Powermate Customer Care if the leak is still present.

Q:How much air does it put out per minute
          by|Aug 7, 2016
          1 Answer
          Answer This Question

A:  Air Delivery 13.4 SCFM @ 40PSI 155 Maximum Pressure (psi) Air Delivery 11.5 SCFM @ 90PSI 15 Amperage (amps) For a use example I purchased one of these to paint a truck. I used a quality HVLP spray gun which had 15 cfm demand. The air compressor would keep up but never shuts off when spraying. So its a bare minimum compressor for that demand. Hope this helps.

Q:Is there a different pressure switch that I can buy and install that will auto shutoff at 135 psi or even lower rather than 155psi?
          by|Apr 27, 2016

          Answer This Question

A:  There is however, modifying the air compressor will void the warranty of the Powermate 60 Gal. Air Compressor. The higher PSI provides you longer air tool run time and more stored energy within the tank. Overall increasing your project efficiency and experience.

Q:What pressure (PSI) air compressor is turned OFF and then turned ON. What is the minimum pressure (PSI) of the compressor keeps in the tank. I want to buy this compressor Model # PLA3706056 for my CNC machine. CNC machine requirement 110 PSI minimum, constant pressure for ATC spindle (7-bar / 100-PSI). Can I use this compressor PLA3706056. Thanks,

            1 Answer
            Answer This Question

A:  The Powermate 60 Gal. Stationary Compressor PLA3706056 has a pressure switch setting of 125-155. It will kick on at 125 PSI and kick off at 155 PSI. If the application requires 100- 110 PSI, this unit should work in that setting. The SCFM air requirements of the CNC should also be considered. This compressor is rated at 11.5 SCFM @ 90 PSI and 13.4 SCFM @ 40 PSI.
